1/6/2023 0 Comments Game titanfall 2If you control the point and then "amp" it up, you get even more points. It's fun, but I'm glad it wasn't an Attrition replacement.Īmped Hardpoint: Teams battle to control points. You can steal some of the money if you kill an enemy Pilot. It's a great mode for everyone because less-skilled players can still earn some points killing underlings, giving everyone a sense of participation and achievement.īounty Hunt: You're rewarded for killing the enemy Pilots and AI, and then have to deposit your reward funds into a bank at the end of each wave. In this mode, Pilots and Titans are joined by human and robotic AI grunts in epic scale battles. This was the most popular mode in the original game, and was almost left out of the sequel. I'm also really glad that Attrition mode is back. It makes every match riotous and dynamic. There's simply no other game out there with this kind of polished movement. It's such a fast, fluid, incredible feeling. It was, quite frankly, exhilarating even before the first bullet flew. It certainly feels great playing.įor instance, I was in one of the maps and was racing down this outside corridor right as the match started, first using my grappling hook to get high up and then wall-running and jumping between two long, curving walls high off the ground. Multiplayer feels much better than it did in the beta, now that we have more maps, modes, Pilots and Titans to play with. It was a bit annoying, but forgivable given just how polished the rest of the game was. I had to wander about until an NPC was somehow triggered into action and led us on our way. After a big mech fight, there was simply no option to progress further. I only encountered one significant bug, and it sorted itself out fairly quickly. It's not a bad story by any means, but I hope that the next game gives us more to latch onto. As for villains, you get boss fights, all of which play out as mech battles, but the actual bad guys remain pretty two-dimensional. Their many humorous interactions are a nice touch as well. But his relationship with the Titan, BT 7274, is actually pretty moving. Jack Cooper, the protagonist, even sounds generic. Much of it is so good that I'm tempted to jump right back in and play it all again-and I'll do just that once the madness of the holiday season slows down and I have the time. Every mission has some twist and some clever design element that keeps the entire campaign diverse and fresh.
